LOVE YOU SHEL!

Reaching New Heights!

This last week I did something I never thought I could do!! It may seem silly to others but to me this was a huge achievement...I flew on an airplane all by myself!  Flying is scary in the first place, but doing it all by myself was taking it to the next level!
San Jose Airport
I was getting on this airplane to travel home to Utah to visit my family and be there for my cousin Kyle's homecoming!  I was excited to see my family, but Sheldon couldn't get work off so that meant leaving him behind!  In the 10 months that we have been married I have never been away from my husband! WOW! So I was sad to leave him. The flight to Utah was okay, I was on a smaller plane so there was turbulence and my stomach didn't appreciate that but we landed and I was good!
SLC Airport
When I got into the airport I headed out to meet my dad...but was stopped by a crowd of people all trying to get out of the airport.  The gates were closed and they weren't letting anyone in or out of the airport!  We found out there had been some kind of security breach and we were stuck there.  I had to wait for an hour before they let us leave...and it ended up that they guy they were looking for didn't even have what they thought he did!! Oh well..I didn't think I could go on a trip without some kind of incident!

It was a great trip, but I was so happy to come back to My Sheldon!! Being away just reminded me of how much I love him and need him...He told me I can't leave him ever again (I think he missed me too)!! Now it's back to California for 4 more weeks!

SHARKS!

Yes...San Jose is the home of the Sharks Hockey team.  We were able to get tickets through Sheldon's work and it was a really fun date night!  When I first think of hockey I think of mean, tough, scary, smelly, aggressive MEN!..My thoughts haven't changed!!  But I do have a greater appreciation for those that can make ice skating look like a piece of CAKE! They are able to skate like crazy while shoving others around and hitting a little black puck.  So even though I think they are still scary and way too mean....I THOUGHT IT WAS SWEET!

Sheldon is now convinced that he should be a hockey player...I think I'm okay with him just watching it!  It didn't take much for those hot headed men to start putting choke holds on people that get in their way and swinging their long sticks at each other, I'd rather keep my husband in one piece!!

It was pretty exciting to be apart of a crowd that was going CrAzY!  The Sharks played the Vancouver Canucks and they are ranked best in the league...so we really did see a great game.  Our Sharks played a hard game, tying it up with only a minute left in the game...holding out through overtime and then loosing in the shoot out! It was really exciting and I'm glad we had the opportunity to go out and experience a little of San Jose!  We will probably be Shark fans for the rest of our lives now....just because we saw them once, I'm going to get matching shirts so we can show our support! (haha)

Zmudowski!!

Zmudowski is a beautiful beach!  If you ever come to California and you want to go to a beach that is low key and amazing...Zmudowski is your place!  One Sunday afternoon we decided to visit this beach, not really knowing what to expect.  Our GPS was certain the road to the beach went straight through a field of strawberries....We were in the middle of no where...looking for a beach that the GPS couldn't find...this is where I start to panic a little bit!  I'm so grateful Sheldon is always calm and knows how to fix everything!  We went out to the main road, and a few miles down there was a sign that said...Zmudowski State Beach! IT REALLY DOES EXIST!  We followed these dirt roads (which were kind of sketchy) that lead us to a dead end with a large sand hill.  We were nervous our little adventure was going to be lame, but changed our minds after we reached the top of the sand hill and saw this......
...A beautiful beach that wasn’t crowded with people enjoying the warm sun and sea breeze!
We had so much fun looking for sea shells and sand dollars!  Sheldon was like a little kid running around in the ocean, splashing around digging in the sand.

It ended up being a wonderful Sunday afternoon! Relaxin on the beach enjoying the company of my best friend!
