Remember....

This is for me so I can remember....http://myeternalfamily100.weebly.com/index.html  I love that teachers have you create blogs, I think it's a great way to remember what I've learned!  So this blog was for my family 100 class, and I'm now using it for my Old Testament class!

Wow....

So a quick sum of the 7 week break...and fall semester! The seven week break was amazing, we did a lot of playing!  We got to go camping, spend a week in St. George for our anniversary, play at bear lake with my family, spend a week in Arizona with our good friends Ty & Liz, relax and do a whole lot of nothing!! Sheldon studied hard and took the dreaded GMAT test (like the ACT but on steroids!) He did well but he wants to take it again in December...So he will continue to study!  It was a much needed break and we enjoyed every minute of it!

This semester has been SO busy...and we are so close to graduating, I think we both have senioritis really bad!! We both have full school schedules and we are both working...which is a huge blessing...and keeps us busy.  Sheldon is an accounting tutor up on campus, and a school bus driver and I'm a bus aid!  It is fun and I enjoy riding with the kids!

Some exciting news....Sheldon got an internship in Salt Lake City with Deloitte, one of the big four accounting companies.  He is the first BYU-I student to ever come and do an internship with them before having a masters degree...so this is a huge blessing and we are so excited to be in Utah during winter semester!  So we just found a cute little apartment in Sandy, Utah...where we will live until April!  After the internship we will head back up to Rexburg for the Spring semester so we can both finish our bachelors degrees!!

Here are a few pictures from our trip to St. George! One of the days we spent  in Zions National Park, this is the hike Angles-landing!  It was beautiful!

We Survived!

Spring semester is OVER....and we are so relieved!  I almost didn't think I would make it, but we did it.  We both managed to pull of 4.0's (which isn't hard for Sheldon...but I'm quite proud of my work!)  We both decided that we love Rexburg right now, the town is empty because all the students have left, its warm and sunny, and there isn't any SNOW!  Summers in Rexburg really are nice.

This is a park in Rexburg
Now that school is out I'm as free as a bird! Sheldon is going to study over the 7 week break for the GMAT test (this score will get him into a Masters program...so we hope he does really well!)  It's so weird to wake up and I don't  have to worry about getting to class, or what homework I need to get done...There is nothing demanding my time!...so I'm trying to think of creative things to do so I don't go crazy!
We love summer time!! I'm looking forward to going to Utah to hang out with the family, we are going on a  little vacation to St. George for a few days, we need to go camping and roast marshmallows....so many things I hope we can fit into 7 weeks!

One Year and Counting!....

Headed to the Temple on our Anniversary
Yes it happened....On May 21st we celebrated our one year anniversary!! I can't believe it has already been one whole year.  At times I feel like we have been married forever and I have never known anything different, and then it seems like just yesterday that we were sealed in the temple for time and all eternity!  I LOVE MY SHELDON so much!!  Everyone says the first year is the hardest....but really I absolutely loved this year! Yes we went through a few trials...but that just means we are getting stronger, right?! Anyways...now that we've made it through the first year the rest of them will just keep getting better!!  I'm so grateful that I have Sheldon to help me through the crazy days and to make me laugh and smile everyday...I really do love him more than anything else! I'm looking forward to celebrating many more wonderful anniversaries!

One last Outing...

We had to go out with a bang...so what would be more perfect than spending the day in San Francisco!  Sheldon had the amazing idea to get tickets to a Giants game (baseball team...big deal I guess they were the champions last year for something...!) Sheldon almost had a cow when I asked what sport they played!! I can't keep all the teams straight we are rooting for!...
The day couldn't have been more perfect...
We started the day out by going to Twin Peaks (an overlook of the city)

The view was absolutely breath taking! From up here the city seemed peaceful and less intimidating, driving around the streets is always stressful and crazy but from up here it was beautiful.
After this we headed back into the madness to try to find parking for the game...this was the only part of the whole day that gave me an anxiety attack!  I don't think I've ever seen so many people in one area...and all of them were trying to park at the same time we were! Public parking is so expensive it's a joke...$30 for an evening...I don't think so!!  I also think it's funny that you have to have cash to pay...who carries that much cash...really! I guess we should have been a little more prepared...we only had $10 so I did something way out of my character....I don't like big cities, crowds of unfamiliar people, and scary stressful situations!
We were looking for an ATM (thank goodness for the GPS) but traffic was nuts...we were at a red light and Sheldon saw an ATM sign but we weren't sure how to get to it.  I got a burst of courage inside of me and I jumped out of the car to get cash!! I don't know what came over me...there were tons of people swarming the streets and I jumped right in the middle of them! Wow...when Sheldon was able find me..I was proud of my accomplishment! A minute later we found parking...for $10!! We didn't need the extra cash-oh well I feel like I overcame a few of my fears!

The game was amazing! They won..and it was overall an great way to end our California adventure!  We are now true Giants fans...FEAR THE BEARD! (my favorite chant of the night!)
